PricedOut.org.uk is the new national campaign for affordable house prices.
The campaign aims to:
- Raise awareness of the problem
- Push for change
- Challenge assumptions
- Represent those affected
Raising awareness
Priced Out aims to raise awareness of the damage being caused by unaffordable house prices through its website, its campaign activities and active canvassing of policy makers and the media.
Pushing for change
Our housing market is broken, we need to fix it. Prices have spiralled out of control and are now causing significant social and economic damage. It is time to campaign for change.
Read our proposals "More Homes and Sensible loans" and help us fight for change.
Challenging Assumptions
Through our website and campaign we aim to challenge a number of widely held myths and flawed assumptions about the housing market.
In particular Priced Out believes that media coverage of the housing market has inadvertently become dominated by the message that higher house prices are beneficial to the nation. We aim to provide a counter balance to that view and promote national debate on why high prices are not a good thing for the majority of people and the nation as a whole.
Representing those affected
Whilst there are a number of organisations, charities and campaigns dealing with the important issues of social housing and homelessness there is no group representing the rest of the population who are being negatively affected by unaffordable house prices. Priced Out aims to fill that gap.
If you feel you are priced out of buying or suitable accommodation for your family, or you agree that house prices are simply too high then join our campaign.
